Some people claim that management without personal presence is impossible. It is true but just for them. They mistake when claim that something they can't do, anybody else can't do either. We tend to generalize based on our experience.
Same with the argument that something can't be done because it was never done before.
Embracing change is difficult. It seems that by rejecting to change we play the safe ground. However when change occurs we are unprepared victims. All we need to protect ourselves from being victimized by change is to only switch our point of view. It is all about allowing your mind to imagine what we consider unimaginable. Resilience is all about imagination. If our world will be managed solely by machines it will be managed perfectly and it will die overwhelmed by change. Imagining the unimaginable, thinking the unthinkable is the area, I believe, where machines will not be able to beat human beings any time soon. Humans should be perfect as gods to build a so imperfect machine as a human being. Thus there is a great niche for human managers (or leaders if you like) in the future. Only for those who don't forget to switch on their imagination though.
