Having started as a software distributor (in 1989 LANIT became the first Novell official partner in the USSR) George Gens successively and steadily developed the comprehensive IT company. Biography Facts:

• Born in Moscow in 1954. Graduated from the famous Moscow school, which provided profound knowledge in Mathematics, then graduated from the Moscow State University, the Department of Economics;

• Ph.D. in Economics, the author of more than 60 scientific papers, including 10 publications abroad;

• Since 1976 worked for the Scientific Research Institute of Automation in Nonindustrial Sphere, was gradually promoted from an acting junior research fellow to the Head of the Expert Systems Division;

• In 1989 founded and became the Head of LANIT (Laboratory of New Information Technologies), one of the first market-oriented companies fully dedicated to information technologies;

• Academician of the International Academy of Informatization (General Consultative Status at the Economic and Social Council of the UN);

• Certificated Project Director - certificate IPMA Level A (the highest);

• Leader of numerous polls and rating studies, a major Russian business figure.
