Anatoly Mikhailovich Karachinsky is Member of the Council for Business Competitiveness under the RF Government, the Expert Council for Information Technologies under the RF Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication and Expert Council for Electronic Education at the Education and Science Committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

Wrote the book Personal Computers (1986) jointly with S.M. Zakharov.
Declared as the most respected person of the Russian computer business for 10 times (DATOR Top100 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1998 and TOP-PROFI 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 and 1999 Ratings).
According to the Top-Profi’2000 annual polling, declared as the most active person in development of the Russian computer market.
In December 1993, won the Euromarket Award for achievements in technologies, trade and production, which enhanced development of the European market. Declared as one of the three persons who most affected development of the Russian computer market.
In 1994 won the Quality Management Award of the European Union, which is awarded to the best European managers.
In 2002 became the first Russian businessman, who was included into the Europe Stars list published by Business Week International. Europe Stars is the list of fifty leaders of positive changes in Europe.
Entered the Top 100 of the Russian IT Industry Award for 2002 and 2003 (the iONE Project).
According to the Russian Managers Association rating, entered the Top 40 of the Russia’s 1000 Most Skilled Managers rating.
In November 2003 became the first Russian businessman to win the Russian Businessman of the year’2003 Contest held by Ernst & Young for 35 countries worldwide, and in 2004 represented Russia at the Monaco International Contest.
