Career History:
BNP-Paribas
Erik started his career at BNP SA & Co in Stuttgart, Germany in 1987 as Head of the Credit Department. In 1990 he took over responsibility for commercial activities and in 1992 was appointed Branch Manager.
In 1994, Erik was appointed as Internal Auditor in the Bank's head office in Paris. In 1997, he was seconded to Moscow to found BNP-Invest Ltd., a subsidiary of BNP London offering investment banking services, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the company.
In 1998, Erik joined BNP-Dresdner Bank ZAO, a joint venture between BNP and Dresdner Bank in Russia, as Deputy President and General Manager of the Moscow Branch. In 2001, the bank was taken over by Dresdner Bank after the joint-venture cooperation was dissolved, and was renamed Dresdner Bank ZAO.
In 2001, Erik was appointed Chairman of the Board of BNP-Paribas ZAO, a Russian subsidiary of BNP-Paribas which he established. He was also appointed as Deputy Chief Representative of BNP-Paribas in Moscow.
From 2002 to 2004, Erik was Chief Operating Officer of BNP-Paribas Switzerland, responsible for commodity trade finance in Central and Eastern Europe.
In October 2004 Erik Koebe joined Dresdner Bank ZAO in Moscow where he was responsible for coordinating activities ZAO locally with primary responsibility for corporate banking services.
Education:
Erik Koebe studied law at the University of Tubingen, Germany (1978-1984). In 1984 and 1987 he successfully passed the first and second bar examinations in Germany. Erik is fluent in German, French and English.
